Sweeney and Laney, creators and writers of Dr. Perverto, both started their careers as writers at Saturday Night Live. They went on to become Producers and writers on MadTV where their work was chosen as one of the '50 Funniest Moments of All Time on Television' by TV Guide. They then were head writers on the acclaimed animated series 'Tripping the Rift' for the Sci Fi Network and Film Roman.
